{"id":92,"date":"2012-02-12T13:26:38","date_gmt":"2012-02-12T13:26:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/berenger.net\/recettes\/?p=92"},"modified":"2012-02-12T13:36:57","modified_gmt":"2012-02-12T13:36:57","slug":"worlds-best-mac-and-cheese","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/berenger.net\/recettes\/worlds-best-mac-and-cheese\/","title":{"rendered":"World&#8217;s Best Mac &#038; Cheese"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recipe from Martha Stewart and Christine.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients:<\/h2>\n<p>For the mac &amp; cheese:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>butter or vegetable oil, for baking dish<\/li>\n<li>6 ounces penne<\/li>\n<li>2 cups cheese sauce (see below)<\/li>\n<li>1 ounce cheddar cheese, grated<\/li>\n<li>1 ounce Gruy\u00e8re cheese, grated<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 teaspoon chili powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For the cheese sauce:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 tablespoons butter<\/li>\n<li>2 1\/2 tablespoon all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>3 cups milk<\/li>\n<li>300 g aged cheddar cheese, grated<\/li>\n<li>150 g Gruy\u00e8re cheese, grated<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 teaspoon chili powder<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoon garlic, chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preparation:<\/h2>\n<p>For the cheese sauce:<\/p>\n<p>Melt butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat, whisk in flour. Continue whisking and cooking for 2 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Slowly add milk, whisking constantly. Cook, stirring frequently, until sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Add chile powder and garlic. Slowly stir in the cheese a little at a time until it is thick and melted. If there is any cheese left over, save it to top the mac and cheese. Use immediately or refrigerate up to 3 days.<\/p>\n<p>For the mac &amp; cheese:<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Butter or oil an 8-inch baking dish, set aside.<\/p>\n<p>Boil a large pot of water. Cook penne, according to directions, for 2 minutes less than recommended. Rinse pasta in cold water. Set aside.<\/p>\n<p>In a medium bowl, mix together cooked pasta and sauce gently but thoroughly. Pour pasta into prepared baking dish, sprinkle with cheeses and chile powder. Bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
