{"id":349,"date":"2014-04-02T14:17:38","date_gmt":"2014-04-02T13:17:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/berenger.net\/recettes\/?p=349"},"modified":"2014-04-02T14:17:38","modified_gmt":"2014-04-02T13:17:38","slug":"mrs-anands-green-beans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/berenger.net\/recettes\/mrs-anands-green-beans\/","title":{"rendered":"Mrs Anand&#8217;s Green Beans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recipe from Roopa Anand (Premila&#8217;s mom).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>1 pound green beans, cut to 1-2 inch length<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon turmeric<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon red pepper<\/li>\n<li>3-4 green chillies<\/li>\n<li>cumin<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup fresh ground coconut<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon mustard seed<\/li>\n<li>canola oil<\/li>\n<li>1-2 dried red chillies (or 1\/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper)<\/li>\n<li>8 curry leaves<\/li>\n<li>salt, to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preparation:<\/h2>\n<p>Mix beans, turmeric, red pepper and salt together in pan with scant water. Boil covered until done.<\/p>\n<p>Add 1\/4 &#8211; 1\/3 cup fresh grated coconut. Sprinkle in a large pinch of ground cumin.<\/p>\n<p>In a pan over medium heat, heat canola oil. Add mustard seed. When the seeds start to pop, turn off heat and add 1\/2 teaspoon of red chillies and curry leaves.
