Cornwall Waffles

Inspired by our trips to the Watergate Bay in Cornwall.

Ingredients:

  • 300 g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 350 mL warm milk
  • 75 mL melted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Mix the flour, baking powder and salt together.
Separately, beat the eggs. Add the warm milk and vanilla extract.
Pour the flour mixture into the liquid, whisking the entire time.
When the flour mixture is smooth, add the melted butter and stir.
Leave for 30 minutes.
Cook on waffle iron for 4 minutes. Serve with your favorite toppings.
