Recipe from Gail Harris.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups bread, dry
- 4 cups milk, warm
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup rum
Preparation:
Put bread in milk, sugar and rum. Mix. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Add sugar, butter and salt. Mix. Pour over eggs in bottom of bowl. Mix. Add vanilla.
Pour in cooking dish. Put cooking dish in pan of water. Cook in oven at 350°F for 1 hour.
